Moviegoers, have you seen the promotional video of Real Steel 2011 film? At first, I wasn’t able to fully appreciate it not until my brothers has asked me to watch it carefully. I was surprised by the storyline centered on a boxer combined with robotics. Now, I am eagerly awaiting for the coming of this great sci-fi film.
Real Steel is partly based on the 1956 short story movie “Steel” by Richard Matheson and directed by Shawn Levy. The film stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton (professional boxer), Dakota Goyo as Max Kenton, Evangeline Lilly as Bailey Tallet, Kevin Durand as Ricky and Anthony Mackie as Finn. It scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on both conventional and IMAX format on October 7, 2011.
Real Steel Plot
The movie is set in the year 2020 where robots replaced humans in the sports of boxing. It affects Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman) dreams of becoming a world champion however he teams up with his son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build a robot that can compete for the championships. The film production created Animatronic robots which was built for the film and motion capture technology to capture the fight action of robots. Does it sounds great and cool! Movie fans, don’t miss to watch Real Steel this coming weekend. Enjoy!
