Alright, Detective Conan fans across the globe are surely aware of the upcoming Detective Conan Movie 17 next month. Well, let’s all wait for another exciting and great case journey of our favorite kid detective and his friends.
The Detective Conan 2013 Movie is entitled as “Private Eye in the Distant Sea” and scheduled to release in TOHO theaters throughout Japan on Saturday, April 20, 2013. The new film marks the 17th installment in the hit anime franchise of Detective Conan series. It is directed by Kobun Shizuno, screenplay by Takeharu Sakurai and featuring the voices of Kapeei Yamaguchi as Shinichi Kudo, Minami Takayama as Conan Edogawa, Wakana Yamazaki as Ran Mori and many more.
The first official preview of this new movie comes after the release of Detective Conan Movie 16: Eleventh Striker. The teaser showed a ship sailing through a dark sea highlighting the words: “Production of 17th Movie is confirmed!” You may check the 90-second promotional video clip for the said anime movie below.
Detective Conan Movie 17 “Private Eye in the Distant Sea” plot is set in a state-of-the art Aegis vessel with the full cooperation of Japan’s real-life Ministry of Defense and Maritime Self-Defense Force. The corpse of a Self-Defense Force member has been found — minus the left arm — and a spy has infiltrated the Aegis vessel. The heroine Ran is put in jeopardy, and Conan is forced to stand up against the dangerous Spy “X.”
