Visayas Prestigious Sto. Niño Festivals
January 9th, 2010 by regiekunThe opening month of each year (January) is the celebration of the glamorous and prestigious Sto. Niño Festivals in the Visayas region. Among this very known festivals are Sinulog of Cebu, Ati-atihan of Kalibo and Dinagyang of Iloilo. The religious celebration is also a continuous praise to the Holy Child (Sto. Niño) for the guidance and blessings he has given to these provinces.
The above mentioned provinces and their unique festivals made them popular not only in the Philippines but all over the world. Visitors from here in the country and outside are keeping in coming back to these colorful festivals. The street noise, the parade, the fabulous dancers and the drumbeat is really one of a kind. I hope I could experience the same thing as I planned to witness these festivals soon.
