“The Double Assault” boxing pay-per-view features the clash of undefeated boxers – Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. vs. Marvin Sonsona for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Junior Featherweight title on February 27, 2010 live from Reben Rodriquez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto Boxing Match

It was announced by Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank Promotion last July 20, 2009 that the mega-fight between boxing’s no. 1 Pound-for-Pound King and the reigning Boxing Writers Association of America’s (BWAA) Fighter of the Year Manuelito Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Puerto Rico’s pride boxer and 3-time world champion Miguel Ángel Cotto is formal.
The Pacquiao vs. Cotto fight is scheduled on November 14, 2009 at the MGM Grand Garden Hotel in Las vegas, USA. The 12-round boxing fight is set at 145-pound limit and will be available live on HBO pay-per-view.

Manny Pacquiao beat Miguel Cotto on the 12th round of their boxing fight. Pacquiao won his 7th world boxing title and first in the history of boxing world.
Pacquiao is 30 years old with a record of (49-3-2, 37 KOs). Originated from General Santos City, Philippines, has won six world titles in different weight divisions. He’s the national hero of the Philippines. In 2008, Pacman defeated Juan Manuel Marquez and David Diaz in order to get the 130 and 135 pounds world titles respectively. He knock out Oscar Dela Hoya at 147 pounds. Last May 2, Pacquiao won another world title against junior welterweight champion Ricky Hatton in a one punch second-round knockout.
Cotto, 28, (34-1, 27 KOs) from Caguas, Puerto Rico, has held a world title every year since 2004. He’s well known as Puerto Rico’s most exciting fighter and his record is very respectable. Cotto get holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior welterweight crown from 2004-2006, successfully defended it 6 times. At the end of 2006, he vacated the title to get the World Boxing Association (WBA) welterweight title. He won the WBO welterweight title last february, knocking out Micheal Jennings in the fifth round of their fight at the Madison Square Garden. Cotto last fight is with Joshua Clottey via split-decision in favor for him.
The Pacquiao vs. Cotto boxing tickets will be available on sale in late August. This will be followed by a three-city press tour. Arum said that the tentative schedule tour is on Sept. 9 in Los Angeles, September 10 in New York and Sept. 12 in Puerto Rico.
